villain is pretty much unknown so analysis can be considered in vacuum
could i stop and go here by calling the flop raise and leading the turn ?
should i call down and hope he doesn't have a flush ?

  1. this one is a tough one. don't think calling and leading out OTT is a good line cos villian might just shove over your turn bet. then c/c down can be pretty expensive too if he has a flush. i would call his flop raise and check/evaluate OTT. most probably c/f. if turn gets checked through its highly likely he's FDrawing so pending read OTR i might make a thin value bet.

  2. nv make use of poker-edge.com?

here i think folding to a raise by an unknown with TPTK is too weak, there are many hands which u are ahead of in his raising range. flush draws and a weaker king. sets are possible but the chances is quite low compared to a K and draws. flopped flush probability is even lower and he probably wont raise to scare u off if he flopped flush.

So given that u should be ahead, u can call his raise on flop and evaulate turn. check call or check fold accordingly.

  4. i will call his raise and check/call turn and river if no spade hit.

but if his turn or river bet is too big or he shove i will fold.

as like what ruiming said, he maybe on draw and probability that flop flush is low.

  5. all 3 comments involve calling and reevaluating the turn.

So what do i look out for ?

No spade i will check/call depending on the bet sizing , folding to an All in ?

    Spade = check/fold ?

if he checks behind i will check river to give him a chance to take a shot at the pot with missed Flush draw / weaker king

also serves as to pot control against a set ?

if he double barrels and ship river , i will fold ?

seems to me like a bo hua deal beating only a very thin range against an unknown

  6. i'm afraid i have to disagree with RM when he says u're ahead of his raising range. reasons being he could have a small flush and is starting to build pot. sets may or may not raise here too. assuming villian does not call an UTG raise with 96 or K9 and that he doesn't raise with 1 pair type hands except NFD u can safely compute his range to be sets/As J-K/flush. u have at best 20% ev here. the only reason why u should call the flop raise is to try to narrow his turn range and hope he's at the bottom of it which is why i said check/evaluate OTT. if he double barrels u, u can be pretty sure he's almost always doing it with the top of his range on this board and can safely fold.

  7. if its a reg, yes his raising range will be narrower, but from an unknown, it cotains more Kx or a spade than sets here.

i think a major problem here is the "unknown". if u have a few hands on him or pokeredge him, his stats will give u a much clearer picture.
